Renaming of the Food Pantry: March 2023

John Rerecich passed away on June 19, 2019.  He was part of the St Joseph parish since 1953. As a child, John was a student at St Joseph’s School.  After graduating, John attended Aviation High School.

John went on to become a Steamfitter with local 638.  Years later he injured his back and was disabled for more than 30 years.  John survived both his parents, brother, and sister.  His last wish was to have his estate feed the poor.

St Joseph Church renamed its Food Pantry to honor John ‘s legacy in March 2023 to:

The St Joseph John A Rerecich Food Pantry

The Food Pantry’s expansion included increased storage space and refrigeration to feed more families.
